Beddington Heights is located in Calgary’s northwest and is one of Calgary’s largest communities with a population of over 12,500.  Originally a CPR station, the area was annexed by the city in 1975. It is bounded by Berkshire Boulevard to the north, Bedlington Blvd. to the south, Beddington Trail to the east and 14th St. to the west. The community’s location near Deerfoot Trail provides quick access to the Calgary International Airport and downtown Calgary. Beddington Heights also has the benefit of having Nose Hill Park, one of Canada’s largest natural environment parks, right on its doorstep!

Over half of the homes in Beddington Heights are single detached and the rest a mix of semi -detached, condos, townhomes and apartments. Real estate prices are moderate making Beddington Heights attractive for first time home buyers and families looking for affordable housing.  Single family homes can start as low as $340,000 and condos are priced around the $240,000 range.

In addition to Nose Hill Park, Beddington Heights has over 20 parks scattered throughout the community, so there is plenty of green space. The community has a sizeable and very busy community centre with many programs and activities for residents. There is a banquet hall, a large preschool and a gymnasium. The community centre offers an after school program and a variety of sports programs such as soccer, volleyball, yoga and martial arts. There is also an outdoor ice rink adjacent to the centre that is converted to a skateboard park in the summer months. Beddington Heights residents can also enjoy the facilities at Cardel Place in Country Hills – a 195,000 square foot facility that features a fitness and aquatic centre, three gymnasiums, two NHL sized hockey rinks, a sports medicine clinic, as well as a public library.
