In any type of small business there are unfortunately some companies that don’t seem to care about their customers and offer a bad customer experience. Whether it is rude employees or indifferent owners, being taken for granted makes you want to write a bad review so that others won’t have to go through what you went through.
On the other hand, most business owners have pride in their companies and treat their employees well which usually translates into good and sometimes great customer service that makes the customer appreciate what they got for their money. This type of relationship is a win – win situation that leaves everyone involved satisfied with the transaction.
I am writing about this because of a great experience I had when my car broke down while driving in northeastern Alberta near Bonnyville. Of course, my relatively new vehicle was just out of warranty when it decided to die on the side of the road after I stopped for a few minutes of rest and to stretch my legs. After trying to start it for a half an hour I got on my phone and Googled for a Bonnyville mechanic . I contacted Jacknife mechanical services and they said they had a tow truck that could come to me right away.
When they got to my location, they were very courteous and professional. They hooked up my vehicle to the tow truck in no time and we were off to their repair shop which was only a few kilometers away. Once we were there, they showed me to a nice waiting room and offered me coffee. Then they got to work on my car and kept me up to date on what they were doing at every step in the repair process. Once they had figured out the problem, they took me into the shop and showed me what the problem was and how they could fix it. Luckily for me it was just something that got loose and they just needed to tighten it. I don’t remember what it was, but they fixed the problem and I was on my way within a couple of hours.
I am sure lots of mechanical repair shops could have done the same, but these guys really went out of their way with their customer service and you could really tell they all liked working there. I would highly recommend them if you live in the Bonnyville area.
This experience also reminded me how important it is to connect with my customers in my real estate business because I want them all to feel like they got more than they expected when they started working with me.
